Available orientation
The current visitor information does not publish a compact official site-plan PDF. The interactive map therefore shows selected entrances and landmarks with precise locations.
Landmarks around the grounds
The interactive map is limited to clearly located points that are useful to visitors:
- Main entrance: Main entrance to the grounds.
- South-eastern pedestrian entrance: Pedestrian entrance on the south-eastern side of the cemetery; the passage is designated wheelchair-accessible.
- Toilet near the main entrance: Toilet building north of the main entrance; free of charge.
- Memorial plaque to those who died in the final days of the war in 1945: The name follows the inscription.
- Second World War graves: Dedicated memorial section within the cemetery.
- Am Heidefriedhof stop near the entrance: Bus stop west of the main entrance.
- Public parking near Heidefriedhof: Free public parking west of the cemetery; it is not a designated cemetery car park.
Locate a grave
The map is not a grave register. For an individual grave, you need its official section, row and grave number. A merely approximate location is not presented as an exact marker.
